Victor Tung was the U.S. Chief Technology and Operations Officer (U.S. CTOO) and (CIOO for Capital Markets) for BMO Financial Group. He led a global team responsible for transformation and integration across Technology and Operations. Victor was a graduate of the Rotman Executive Masters of Business Administration program, held an Honours Business Administration degree from the University of Toronto Scarborough, earned a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Woodsworth College, and his Global Professional Master of Laws from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law in 2015. Victor is remembered as a respected thought leader in the technology industry and was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40. He was a member and served on the board of AT&T’s Global Advisory Council, Coupa Technology’s Executive Advisory Board, the Canadian Financial Services Cyber Security Governance Council, Rotman School of Management, Global Advancement Board - Fundraising Sub-Committee, and the University of Toronto Scarborough Campaign Cabinet. As an advocate for continuous learning, Victor established the Victor Tung Scholarship which is awarded annually to a student in the Master of Management Analytics program at the Rotman School of Management. He was on two non-profit boards; Skills for Change, which supports new immigrants, and Ascend Canada, whose focus is on developing and enhancing Pan-Asian talent. The Victor Tung Foundation was established in loving memory of Victor Tung, a cherished individual known for his unwavering kindness, passion for the arts, and dedication to making a positive impact in the community. Victor’s spirit of generosity and his deep appreciation for creativity inspire the Foundation’s mission to promote social good through artistic expression and philanthropy.
